The first group wrote:
Black thorns and sleeping moss
Wearing the diamond frost
The sun shines beautifully
against the emerald background
Beauty pervades the landscape
All around is still
She glanced against the whispering sky
Her thoughts were calm but her body high
What would she do when night came on
Nowhere to turn, nowhere to run
She decided to enjoy the day and
worry about night when it came
Time passes beauty fades

The second group wrote:
Black thorns and sleeping moss
Wearing the diamond frost
Below a hill topped with snow
They steal themselves to view
Holding loving hands they reviewed
the nakedness of her wedding finger
time slowing over the horizon
as her arm arcs across the space
A gentle touch a loving glance
a moment of romance by chance
She stoops to kiss his glowing brow
And longs for love redeemed in now
